In the valley of Amatitan, Mexico, the Melendez
family has been growing blue agave plants for over sixty
years. In those past six decades, many well known
tequila manufacturers have purchased the Melendez’s
renowned blue agave plants used in making their own high
quality tequila. During the last decade, the oldest
Melendez brother, Jesus, decided to craft his own
tequila using a time-honored recipe. With his family, he
still grows hundreds of acres of blue agave, amassing
over eight million plants; however, he now uses the most
select blue agave plants to use in his own tequila,
Tequila Tres Mujeres. Located just south of Tequila and
north of Guadalajara, Jesus Melendez takes pride in the
tradition of crafting a high quality, boutique tequila.
Tequila Tres Mujeres (three ladies) is named after three
women special to Jesus Melendez, his three beautiful
daughters.
Reposado and Blanco
Both are all natural, all 100% blue agave tequila. Aged 120 days in single white oak barrels, the result is a sipping tequila with a fragrant bouquet and a smooth oak palate. Blanco is an unaged tequila with a smooth, buoyant flavor.
